Diving Unlimited International (DUI)
Underwater Equipment Sponsor for Eco-Photo ExplorersDUI

DUI Testimonial: Eco-Photo Explorers have been using DUI drysuits for over 20 years and have never experienced any problems with its design or construction. It's a solid, reliable and durable suit and is one of our best dive gear investments we own.

Scuba diving in icy waters represents an entirely different challenge. Because the water temperatures in the polar regions in the High Arctic and in Antarctica can hover around 28-29 degrees Fahrenheit (-2.2 to -1.6 C), exposure protection is the most important equipment to consider. If a diver gets really cold he or she may not think quickly or react efficiently if things go wrong. We currently use DUI FLX EXTRME drysuits, which is made of a trilaminate material.

In addition, we employ a drysuit integrated dry glove system to enable the most comfort possible in the vulnerable hands and fingers. To protect our heads and the bare skin on your face, we use special neoprene ICE Caps (underlayer) which are worn under your dry-hood. We found that having TWO protection layers worked better then one.

We chose Diving Unlimited International (DUI) because of how their technical range is designed around the principles of performance, innovation and function. They use the latest fabric technology in unique combinations and designs, which revolutionized thermal protection in drysuit diving.

Essential Gear We Use

DUI BlueHeat Heated DiveWear Insulation

THE NEXT EVOLUTION IN DIVER COMFORT - BlueHeat is electrically heated insulation for the body, hands and feet. It's simple to use, is the most powerful system on the market and it is the only system to meet diver safety standards. Whether you are a technical diver wanting to extend your limits or a recreational diver wanting to wear light insulation while being warmer than you ever thought possible, BlueHeat is the next generation in diver comfort!
